The links below are to some of the legislative proposals introduced since the beginning of the 2005-2006 session which began January 2005, that may be of interest to you.    Follow these links to find specific information being proposed that impact families both positively or negatively.  Not all of the bills introduced are included in these listings.

The 2007-08 legislative session began January 2, and 1,817 bills have been introduced as of March 28, 2008.    These pages last updated May 28, 2008.

A number of bills have been signed into law by the governor.  Look for WI ACT NUMBERS to see which bills have been signed into law.  SCROLL DOWN PAGE FOR FEDERAL BILLS.

To find a specific type of bill, click on one of the categories below to go to that page, then click on the bill number which will take you to the history of the bill .  You can then read the bill or look at other information about the bill by clicking on the highlighted portion of the history.  The history gives the sponsors of the bill and history of the progress of the bill through the legislative process (i.e. which committee it is assigned to, has it had a public hearing, etc).  Click on SEN VOTE or ASSM VOTE following the individual bill to see individual's votes on each bill.  Remember to click the back button on your browser to get back to this page.   Not all of the bills that have been introduced this session are listed on these pages, only those that we believe may be of  interest.
